We have developed a new exhaust system for the latest version of the popular Honda Hornet. With regard to the type of motorcycle and its character, we developed an Akrapovic Slip-On SP series system to satisfy the tuning requirements of Honda owners. The Akrapovic Slip-On SP series is an excellent combination of performance, production, easy installation and affordability. The system for the EU market includes a noise damper, while the system for the US market comes without the damper. The system is available with an optional link pipe with a built-in catalytic converter
Measurements of the Akrapovic SLIP-ON SP series system on the HONDA CB 600F HORNET (without noise damper):
Power & Torque: the Akrapovic Slip-on SP series shows its colors already at 3000 rpm. The increase grows steadily, starting at 3000 rpm and extending all the way to the top of the range, i.e. the overrev range. Max. power of 87.8 HP was measured at 11960 rpm, an increase of 2.5 HP over the stock system at the same revs.The exhaust system also affects the torque readings. Similar to the power curve, torque is increased throughout the range, especially in the “working range” between 6000 and 8000 rpm, making the machine more agile for everyday riding.
