Despite the racing character of the bike, the Akrapovic SLIP-ON exhaust system exhaust system was designed for riders who don’t require an extreme performance boost and do not wish to make any major modifications to the stock exhaust system, but are looking to upgrade the looks and add a performance increase with Akrapovic style. We have also developed a Slip-On SP SERIES (open) exhaust system, a more affordable version of our Slip-on exhaust system made of stainless steel. Riders who are looking for top-end performance should see our Akrapovic Racing and Evolution systems. The muffler outer sleeve for the Slip-On system is available in either carbon-fiber or titanium. The Slip-On system is also available with an optional titanium link pipe.
Measurements of the Akrapovic SLIP-ON system on the HONDA CBR 600 RR (without noise damper):
Power: the system follows the stock power curve at the low end of the rpm range. From 8000 rpm on, the Akrapovic Slip-On adds a significant increase in power, all the way up to the top of the range. This is where the real “working range” of the 600cc supersport Honda begins. The max. increased power is delivered at 8800 rpm.
Torque: the torque increase is spread throughout the entire rpm range and is suited to more relaxed everyday riding without winding it out at the top of the range.
